Are there settings to allow me to view pictures in the email in which they are imbedded? I am not referring to attachments. At present the email has a section with what appears to be broken links but with captions in the first part of the email. Then after those, further down, are pictures but with no captions.

Just checking if they are outside links? If so they are just readable when that server has those pictures. Trying to view old "campaign"-emails often result in blank pics. The campaign is over and pics deleted.

Thanks for the response. No, these were current on a server. It was like a box with a caption but no picture but then a little way down the page the picture shows up. I got another email from the same person and it looked correct with the pictures and captions together. It could have been a glitch with my isp for that short time when they wouldn't show up correctly.

Then you think it's solved?

I have the same problem as jillmd. I read her reply that her problem was solved, but I was unable to find the solution myself.

Maybe I'm not looking in the right spot, but I really need help with this issue.

Thanks for any help! spellboundx2

If the mail isn't to personal, can you forward it to me? Click my name and you find the address.

I have closed jillmcl's new thread as a duplication of this topic and removed the solved flag as the new post makes it obvious no solution was arrived at.

@spellboundx2

I am of the belief that gnospens instruction to open a new thread was directed to you. While the issues may be identical having your own thread means us support types do not get confused about who we are involved with. I have lost track of the number of time I have replied inappropriately to someone that just appeared as you have because I did not notice the change of name. You welcome to follow along. In fact I would encourage it. But only post if you think you have something materiel to add to the discussion and make sure you point out you are who you are.

@jillmcl

Please use the information I provided on closing your other thread to email gnospen.

@gnospen

Apologies for returning to this after so long, If you are no longer available to look at jillmcl's email just speak up and I will do it. I do think it is the only way to know what is really happening.

At a guess I think you will find the image is defined as an octet stream instead of an image. Very common in old copies of Microsoft Outlook (circa 2003)
