Why is GMAIL unresponsive on my MAC Pro when using firefox but not when using a PC?

When I open GMAIL in the firefox browser on my MacBook Pro, GMAIL then becomes unresponsive. I then open another tap and go to a different website to see if the browser works properly, which it does. I close Firefox then reopen, then log back into GMAIL and the same problem occurs again. Why is this happening and how can I fix it?

I do not know, it could have to do with the profile, or the installation. First try these troubleshooting steps:

See if it happens in a new profile: Profile Manager - Create, remove or switch Firefox profiles
