New Email Window no longer opens automatically (as previously)

I upgraded to the latest version of Thunderbird about 4 weeks back. (Not sure what version I was on before).

Ever since then the New Email Window does not open up automatically when I am exploring folders and decide to right click on a file and select: SEND TO and then select: MAIL RECIPIENT. Only Thunderbird opens up, but that is all.

Other programs that also used to automatically open the New email window with an attachment, no longer work either.

Previously a Write New Email window would open automatically together with the selected file attached, followed by Thunderbird also opening up.

How do I get this desired behavior back again.

Went on to the internet and downloaded an older version 33.0 of Mozzila Thunderbird.

Now the problem is solved and it works again.
