When I try and open a link in a new tab by using the control key+enter on a link I am getting re-directed to a Chinese dating site for the most part, now and then it will take me other sites. Also some times it will just open up a site in a new tab and then switch to it even though my setting do not allow this. This version of Firefox has been a real pain to me and has taken a lot of time to fix thing that have been annoying me and wasting my time.

Sounds like Malware on that PC. that you may not be aware of.

You can try these free programs to scan for malware, which work with your existing antivirus software:

Microsoft Security Essentials is a good permanent antivirus for Windows 7/Vista/XP if you don't already have one. Windows 8 has antivirus built-in already.

Further information can be found in the Troubleshoot Firefox issues caused by malware article.
