How can I set Send later as default?

more options

As a twenty years plus Eudora addict I am used to a workflow in which mails are queued before sending. Only after the manual command Get and send messages the queued messages are sent. I think I could mimick that workflow by putting messages in the Outbox using Send Later, but how do I make that default?

There's a 'Send Later' add-on you can install. I've glanced through the (very comprehensive) user manual and it appears that you can make the Thunderbird 'send' button trigger the 'send later' action instead. You can also determine how much later messages will be sent and customise many other features. It's probably worth a look, you may be able to tweak it to work the way you want.
