my inbox will not open it spools then stays on the intro page

Good morning

When I go into thunderbird it all opens OK, but the inbox spools and then it will not open it stays on what I press like say, drafts, trash etc.,.

Inbox will not do anything is it an update fault? I can open my emails on gmail.

I cannot make any sense of this. Can you explain in more detail what you're doing and what happens?
