Dear mozzila community,

there was a bug in my computer and mozilla did not run few times because of low processor and I had to turn off computer few times. Then when I was starting new firefox session there was a window asking me about some recover mode. As I did not notice it back then I think I clicked yes.

And then I had a new updated version of mozilla and all my bookmarks were gone. So I was trying to recover them by see all bookmarks and recover from a "date" but the date for recover was 2 october, as a day of new updated version.

But my problem is I would like to recover all those bookmarks before 2 of october where I had reall hundreds of bookmarks through 5 years and more so for me it is BIG LOSS and I need to recover them.

Any ideas? Suggestions how to do that?

Look on your desktop. Do you see a folder called; Old Firefox?

Start Firefox in Safe Mode {web Link} by holding down the <Shift>
(Mac=Options) key, and then starting Firefox. A small dialog should appear. Click Start In Safe Mode (not Refresh).

Is the problem still there?

Hi,

thank you for reply.

I have found the old firefox folder, but there is backup with bookmarks with date of 17 march but I think that is okey. The golden old ones stayed and some new are lost.

Is there a way how to find maybe those from september / august ? I have found my old profile and recopy it there, so now I got it.

Unless there is a full backup somewhere . . . . . . .
