Plugin container for firefox uses 400mb of ram. All plugins are disabled & no add- ons installed (clean install)

Start Firefox in Safe Mode {web Link} by holding down the <Shift>
(Mac=Options) key, and then starting Firefox.
A small dialog should appear. Click Start In Safe Mode (not Refresh).
Is the problem still there?

Not sure why, but all of a sudden that process has ceased to start. So problem solved itself
