After updating the program, during download and send e-mail program freezes for a moment. This is very annoying and before that did not happen. Please repair the problem.

After updating the program, during download and send e-mail program freezes for a moment. This is very annoying and before that did not happen. Please repair the problem.

Sounds like another program is intervening such as your Anti-Virus product as it checks incoming and outgoing mail.

Set up AV to not scan incoming and outgoing mail and see if this improves the situation. Do not simpy disable or uninstall AV otherwise the default one takes over and you are in the same situation. Restart Computer in 'Safe Mode with Networking', then start Thunderbird and monitor the results.
