Trouble setting hotmail account. "Configuration could not be verified - is username or password wrong?" Both OK, do not have two step verification. Windows10

Trying to setup my hotmail account on Thunderbird and keep running into same "Configuration could not be verified" error. I do not have two step verification setup for this account and I have confirmed that both username and password are correct. Prefer to have it setup as IMAP, but also tried OP3 and this doesn't work. All server and smtp details are correct.
