Thunderbird deletes all server mail IMAP, All settings (not Delete)
I recently Set up Thunderbird on my new Linux Mint machine, previously i was using outlook on windows. I set up my mail using IMAP and our existing mail server. All settings set to keep mail and no auto deletes. First time i jumped into thunderbird i got email from 1 day, not previous emails. I testing it out and worked fine i was receiving and sending mail fine. Next day i logged in and noticed all my mail was gone, i check trash and none of it was there. I directly logged into the mail server and all mail was deleted from the server. I contacted our I.T Host for the server and he confirmed that there was nothing unusual going on with the server. this has never happend before with outlook and correlates to using thunderbird for the first time. I am scratching my head as to how this happened on an IMAP server, i have gone through every setting 3-4 times in every advanced setting, in subscriptions and in filters. I have checked that it is definitely set up as IMAP.

How about the Synchronization & Storage settings?
Yeah thats all the same. Checked all the settings.
Could it be a conflict between email programs? I use Outlook on windows, Thunderbird on linux and an android email program on smartphone.
That was going to be my next question, whether or not you are accessing the e-mail account with any other devices.
E-mail programs on different devices don't interact with each other, just with the e-mail server. So no conflict there. Thunderbird doesn't change the e-mail that is on the server
You have thoroughly checked all the settings for Thunderbird, so now you need to check all the settings in the other programs. One of them is deleting the e-mails. Maybe a setting in one of them is automatically deleting e-mails that are read?
To really rule out Thunderbird, don't use it for a few days and see if the e-mails still disappear or not.
