I noticed that some web-pages were loading fine this morning like google, but not others like nfl.com; the page continually times out. I made the connection that the pages that loaded were all https:// pages while the others weren't. Is there a reason why this is occurring?

You may want to see about another provider. Some areas have more than one choice. Including satellite and cel towers.

Boot the computer in Windows Safe mode with network support to see if that has effect in case security software is causing problems.

Thanks, the whole issue concerned my internet provider. If you don't live in Northern NM then consider yourself lucky that you have never had the "pleasure" of working with Kit Carson Telecom. I could fill up paragraphs, but suffice it to say they are an unethical, borderline criminal outfit.

Thanks for the help!

Thank you my friend, yes that is exactly the plan.

If this is a problem with the ISP then (all) other browsers would behave the same way?

Can you confirm this?

Hi yes,

The other browsers did behave the same way, which made me decide to contact my ISP. Without getting into the weeds, there is this on-going billing issue that has festered, caused by them by the way(not auto-billing for months then wanting the whole amount at once because of their screw-up). Anyway, instead of just shutting down access they had configured access from their side to only accept certain websites...Why? Well as we say, "Its just Northern New Mexico. Now there could be other conditions to cause this behavior, but that is beyond my pay-grade.

That is an issue you need to take up with your provider.

Note that in some areas, there may be other providers available.
