Bookmarks- tried all your solutions, and i still cant retrieve or add new bookmarks
I have tried a your support suggestions to restore my bookmarks. Ive replaced places.sqlite and all other files, and still unsuccessful. I attempted to restore from a previous date, but a error occurs "unable to process backup file". I've restarted the computer. Ive uninstalled the program and reinstalled. I don't have any addon's that i've installed.

[v57+] Places Maintenance is built into Firefox.
Type about:support<enter> in the address bar.
You will find Places Database near the bottom. Press the Verify Integrity button.
Look on your desktop. Do you see a folder called; Old Firefox?

If "Verify Integrity" on the "Help -> Troubleshooting Information" (about:support) page cannot repair places.sqlite then remove all places.sqlite files in the Firefox profile folder. Firefox will rebuild places.sqlite and restore the bookmarks from a recent JSON backup in the bookmarkbackups folder.
- keep a backup copy of places.sqlite in case a new places.sqlite database has to be created

You can use the button on the "Help -> Troubleshooting Information" (about:support) page to go to the current Firefox profile folder or use the about:profiles page.
- Help -> Troubleshooting Information -> Profile Directory:
Windows: Show Folder; Linux: Open Directory; Mac: Show in Finder - http://kb.mozillazine.org/Profile_folder_-_Firefox
It says it is unable to verify; I have uninstalled and reinstalled, but still same problem
Hi, did you follow the rest of what cor-el said regarding deleting places.sqlite ??
Yes I did, multiple times, I also verified no other copies of Firefox or places file are on my computer. I really love Firefox the best, so this sucks....
