Making a new tab and then writing something in the address bar, then switching to another tab and back selects the whole text. How to change the behaviour?

As I am trying to use a search (from address bar), I sometimes type the keywords/a phrase in parts - so I have to switch between different tabs. But currently every time I switch back to the new tab, it selects the whole text.

Separate Security Issue, please remove your Flash 26.0 r0 Reinstall Flash Player Version: 30.0.0.113 Current Version https://get.adobe.com/flashplayer/otherversions/ Step 1: Select Operating System Step 2: Select A Version (Firefox, . . . .) Note: Other software is offered in the download. <Windows Only>

Suggest update to version 61 or to Refresh. Is Greasemonkey the issue ?

You can check urlbar*select prefs on the about:config page.

  • browser.urlbar.clickSelectsAll
  • browser.urlbar.doubleClickSelectsAll

You can open the about:config page via the location/address bar. You can accept the warning and click "I accept the risk!" to continue.

Sorry for the delay now. Now I have Flash 30.0.0.154 and Firefox 61.0.1. I have to add one thing: the problem occurs semi-randomly - half of the times it is normal, the other half of the times it is highlighting the whole text (doesn't matter if tabs are changed with hotkeys or with mouse).

I tried the safe mode (i.e no Greasemonkey) and tried to change the about:config settings. The same problem occured.
