Please try this for the little it turns off on you : SAFE MODE
- https://support.mozilla.org/kb/Safe+Mode
- https://support.mozilla.org/kb/Troubleshooting+extensions+and+themes
In Firefox Safe mode these changes are effective:
- all extensions are disabled (about:addons)
- default theme is used (no persona)
- userChrome.css and userContent.css are ignored (chrome folder)
- default toolbar layout is used (file: localstore-safe.rdf)
- Javascript JIT compilers are disabled (prefs: javascript.options.*jit)
- hardware acceleration is disabled (Options > Advanced > General)
- plugins are not affected
- preferences are not affected
TEST''''is issue still there ?
Hi again
Also have Avast
Some problems occur when your Internet security program was set to trust the previous version of Firefox, but no longer recognizes your updated version as trusted. Now how to fix the problem: To allow Firefox to connect to the Internet again;
- Make sure your Internet security software is up-to-date (i.e. you are running the latest version).
- Remove Firefox from your program's list of trusted or recognized programs. For detailed instructions, see
Configure firewalls so that Firefox can access the Internet. {web link}
That was what I was looking for : There is security software like Avast/AVG, Kaspersky, BitDefender and ESET that intercept secure connections and send their own certificate.
Hi once more,
My pc was telling me that I had a problem with Hola. So I reinstalled Hola but I subsequently uninstalled it.
Eric
HI, it is something in Avast that is blocking Firefox. It was fixed on the 28th but seems it is back again.
But yes Hola may cause issues. But start where we know there is and has been issues many times before.
Hi, I tried the changes to Avast, but that did not work I have now uninstalled Avast, refreshed Firefox, without success
Firefox is still not working.
Start your Computer in safe mode with network support. Then start Firefox. Try Secure websites like Mozilla. Is the problem still there?

Hi, I have tried 3 time to start pc in Safe Mode with network (option 5). Each time I do this the pc starts in safe mode but with no Internet connection. I am still unable to load any Web sites from Firefox
Eric
Are you using WiFi? Its drivers may not be loading in safe mode. Can you use a cable to your modem?
As a test, disable your protection programs.
