Quickbooks emails is only forwarding, not letting me edit email
Using Thunderbird 60.5.0, an update was installed, prior to the one today, that caused the email preview screen not to appear before sending emails out of QuickBooks. This use to provide an opportunity for me to write a comment in the email body before sending the email. Now they just get sent with no body info and the invoice or purchase order attached.

We have some reports that re-installing 60.5.2 after an auto-update works: https://www.thunderbird.net/en-US/thunderbird/all/
Personally I had to uninstall an unused version of Office to get it to work.

For some it is broken and for others it is not. Currently having outlook installed is the common factor in it not working at all. But more information is needed as this is not an issue of not sending it is an issue of automatic sending. At this time there is no suggestion in the bug other than my adding the support topic URL's that automatic sending is happening. It might be another aspect of the same thing, or it might be something entirely different.
Before 60.5.2, Send To/Mail Recipient and Email file from 3rd-party apps worked here with 32-bit TB on 64-bit W7 and 64-bit W10. Outlook has never been installed on either system, so it is not the 'common factor'. Other users, especially with W7, have had problems getting TB to work with MAPI processes before the current version, and many, but not all of them, have Outlook installed.
Its very interesting. I have my teammates computer who installed the 60.5.2 update today and is experiencing problems on her computer. However I have another employee who downloaded the same update but the email sending is not automatic, TB still allows to edit the email before sending. both are 32-bit on W10
is there a difference in the windows version in use? pro home etc? Other current Or previously installed mail programs?
So I was able to find a work around by installing 60.5.0 (32-bit), both computers are Windows 10 (64-bit) without outlook installed and TB set as windows default emailing program. TB 60.5.1(x64) did not solve the quickbooks emailing problem so I went to TB version 60.5.0(x32). It seems to be a bug that affects only certain computers though. Below are the working TB versions that work with Quickbooks.
Employee 1 : Win 10 (x64) - TB 60.5.2 (x32) Employee 2: Win 10(x64) - TB 60.5.0 (x32)
It seems that only the TB x32 installs work . My recommendation to any else who is having this problem is just:
1) uninstall TB 2) install older versions of TB and chose between x32 & x64 until one of them finally works. 3) Make sure TB is set as windows default Emailing app

Details for a fix/workaround can be found here: https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=1530820#c30
Basically Thunderbird need to be properly reinstalled.
Sending files with non-ASCII names may not work. There are two workarounds: Either switch the system code page to UTF-8 (if on Windows 10) or reset HKLM\SOFTWARE\Clients\Mail\Mozilla Thunderbird - SupportUTF8 to 0
I have this same problem. I don't want to have to uninstall TB and install the 32-bit version to get rid of this bug. I thought TB wasn't sending invoices anymore through QB, until I looked at my "sent" folder and saw that it had sent the invoice every time I attepted to do so, without first letting me edit the email address. And it was using my default email address, not my business email address. Yikes! Please fix this bug!!!
Fixed already, please read the post above yours. You must reinstall, but you can install on top of what is already installed.
Sorry, misread the solution. It works, thanks a lot!
