I just updated to 70.0 on Linux Mint Sylvia. Audio works on my DAW, Chromium and everything else, but Firefox. Tried emptying cache. Restarting. Different websites like youtube, soundcloud, bandcamp etc. Help!

Update history shows two updates: firefox package from version 69.0.3+linuxmint1+sylvia to 70.0+linuxmint1+sylvia firefox-locale-en package from version 69.0.3+linuxmint1+sylvia to 70.0+linuxmint1+sylvia

PS getting help here is awful. There were so many hoops and I even got stuck in a loop once. Not very nice at all.

cor-el, I didn't notice anything in the tools section relating to audio. To my knowledge. Not very good with this stuff.

In youtube I noticed next to the secure connection padlock there was a blocked audio symbol. In the sites permissions I allowed Audio and Video for Autoplay. Didn't do anything. Restarted changed video. Nothing.

Doesn't surprise me though since the whole browser is mute. And yes I checked linux audio settings for firefox and otherwise.

EDIT: Aaand I solved it. For some reason Firefox had switched to another audio device. So not the system default device which I use for everything. Once I swtiched to it while Firefox was running it now uses that after restarting the program.

Did you check the Web Console for possible audio related messages ?
