Firefox for Android cast to Roku seems to require both devices to be on same Wifi network. How about same wired network??

Is their a reason it is restricted to Wifi? I'd like to be able to utilize this feature on wired network, i.e., having both my Android device and the Roku TV hooked to the same wired network.
