HI I just had a crash and I am trying to recover my emails and account settings. This always worked just fine, just copy the whole folder with all files etc into the appdata/ roaming/... folder. this time however thunderbird just ignores all, no setting, no config, no mails no nothing is recovered. I uninstalled and reinstalled but nothing helps. what can I do?

thanks

What OS do you use? What version of Thunderbird are you using?

Have you tried using the Profile Manager to allow you to select the profile ? See info here: https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/profile-manager-create-and-remove-thunderbird-profiles#w_start-the-profile-manager-when-thunderbird-is-closed
