Old profile somehow not saved when got new computer

more options

Hi. I am on a brand new MacBook Pro with no access to my old one, and am unable to access my old Firefox boomarks. I didn't make a back up of my Firefox bookmarks and no matter what profile I try to recreate on Firefox, can't access them.

Do you know if I have any options for recovering my old bookmarks? Firefox says it automatically creates backups of profiles, but I don't understand how to activate or access these.

I cannot tell anything about my old Firefox profile from loading about:profiles page.

Thank you, Anna

Hi Anna, Firefox profiles are local folders on your Mac. Firefox does not create whole-profile backups, but it does create an approximately daily backup of bookmarks in your profile folder (going back a week or two).

Did you previously set up a Firefox Account and enable the Sync feature? That would share your Firefox data (such as bookmarks) between old and new Firefox installations, but it's not completely reliable. A disk backup is more reliable.
