I installed the 64 bit version of Thunderbird (78.7.1) in an attempt to resolve a MAPI problem. It didn't resolve it and I need to return to the 32 bit version. I cannot seem to find a way to force it to install the 32 bit version.

Any help will be appreciated.

Remove the current 64-bit version, then download the 32-bit installer from here:

https://www.thunderbird.net/en-US/thunderbird/all/

To fix MAPI problems, run the installer with Advanced options, set TB as the default, choose to not run TB at the end of the installation, then restart the computer.

Quickbooks, our bookkeeping software, has a feature whereby I can send our customers our invoices, vendors our purchase orders and some selected reports via the installed e-mail client. In my case Thunderbird.

This computer, an HP, came with Windows 10 pre-installed. Quickbooks does not see Thunderbird. I know it works as it did under Windows 7 and I know it works for some folks on Windows 10.

I am trying to chase this thru the MAPI interface. Here is what I know:

This version of Quickbooks will, in some cases work as it should under windows 10. Others have said it works fine. I can do a mailto: on a website and Thunderbird runs. I can use the installed WORD and send a document thru Thunderbird.

I just can't make Quickbooks work. Intuit was unable to resolve it.
