When viewing a local file (URL starting file://), I create a home screen shortcut via Menu + Add to Home screen.

Selecting the shortcut produces message "App isn't installed" (See attached).

Android 11, Firefox 88.1.1 on Pixel 3.

Hi John

It is currently not possible to access a file saved to the device in Firefox for Android. This is something that may be supported in a future update.
