When I click on a button in an email to go to this web site https://r.smartbrief.com/resp/oatyCjrLcVDqaDpYCifCyZCicNrdhZ?format=multipart the shield is marked with a red slash and the error screen comes up with

HTTPS-Only Mode Alert Secure Connection Not Available

You’ve enabled HTTPS-Only Mode for enhanced security, and a HTTPS version of r.smartbrief.com is not available.

This link has worked thousands of time in the past with Secure Connection Mode turned on.

Why is it FAILING now?????????

When I click on the Continue to HTTP Site button, the HTTPS:// link is fully invoked.

Something is wrong with Firefox 89.0.2 running on MacOS 10.14.6 on a MacBook 2017 model.

This link works: https://www.smartbrief.com/ Try starting from here and working your way back to where you want.

As I said in my original post, I clicked on a link under an article to view the entire article that was summarized in the Smartbrief email. The link was fully formatted with HTTPS:// prefix but FireFox did not accept it until I clicked on the go ahead button.

I consider this behavior a problem with Firefox 89.0.2 since these links have worked in the prior versions of FF I have used with secure links turned on.

Are you using any HTTPS add-ons?
