Cannot change settings they are greyed out

I am in my account on Firefox version 92.0.1 and when I go into my settings I want to change some but they are greyed out. How do I get this so I can edit them? I went into preference in Firefox then down to Privacy and want to make some changes there but some of the areas such as clear history when Firefox close is greyed out. how DO i make changes in Firefox?

Start Firefox using Troubleshoot(Safe) Mode {web link}

A small dialog should appear. Click Start In Troubleshoot(Safe) Mode (not Refresh). Is the problem still there?

You can check the about:policies page (63+) to see if policies are active and if errors are reported.
