Hello

Wehave a satellite terminal - FleetOne and will use THINDERBIRD to send and recieve emails. ALL ports are blocked - except all the POP and SMPT ports. We cannot send and recieve emails I need to know if there are additonal PORTS that also need to be allowed through the firewall.

All PORETS are blocked except EMAIL ports, to stop INTERNET traffic, which will incur costs using the satellite link.

Outgoing EMAIL Ports SMTP - 25 SSL - 465 TLS - 587 IMAP - 143 Secure IMAP - 993

Incoming EMAIL Ports POP3 - 110 SSL - 995

You appear to have open ports for incoming IMAP (SSL on 993) and POP (SSL on 995), and SMTP (SSL on 465 or STARTTLS on 587), so the question is, what does your mail provider offer? Most up-to-date providers, like gmail or outlook.com, AOL, GMX etc. offer service on secure connections (recommended). If a provider only offers non-secure connections on ports 110 and 25, they are probably not worth using.
