Using tab groups extensions the behavior of Ctrl-tab shortcut has changed.

Instead of switching to last used tabs in the history it switches only between tabs in currently used group.

I have noticed it using Panorama Tab Groups but as it is not updated since 2020 I have switched it off and installed SImple Tab Groups, recommended by Mozilla. Unfortunately that behavior did not change.

How can I switch to last used tabs in history in all groups of STG?

I started noticing this same issue a few weeks ago as well. It's very frustrating, as I tend to have a lot of tabs open at one time. And I frequently use tabs across Containers. Having to switch a container and then find my tab is slowing me down a lot.

Not sure what changed, but I would also love to get the old functionality back.
