Importing passwords from Chrome
Hi there. I'm in the process of switching from Chrome and I want to import my passwords.
I first tried the 'import from Chrome' option - it says it's successful, but nothing has actually been added. Same result after several attempts.
I then tried the csv route. I found out I had to change the config settings, so I did just that, but the 'import CSV' option still isn't showing even after a reset.
So now I'm at a dead end. Any bright ideas please? TIA!
FYI I'm using Firefox 99.0.1

You could try a new profile, which you can create while Firefox is closed. If you don't want to do that, try starting Firefox in troubleshoot mode (see second link below). https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/troubleshoot-and-diagnose-firefox-problems https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/diagnose-firefox-issues-using-troubleshoot-mode https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/troubleshoot-extensions-themes-to-fix-problems (also deals with hardware acceleration)

You could also try reinstalling the browser and reboot.

They don't seem to, but thank you anyway
Was the about:config setting signon.management.page.fileImport.enabled ? When I click the three dots on the logins page the first item is "Import from a File".

Yep, it's showing as 'true', and yet that option still isn't showing.

Thanks Terry! As you suggested, I created a new profile (via the terminal, with Firefox closed) - for whatever reason, using this profile, the import wizard worked perfectly for importing passwords, so I didn't even need to import as a file in the end. Cheers!
