Cannot upload files or add attachments in Firefox
Recently upgraded to a new Macbook and added the latest version of Firefox. For some reason, I am unable to upload or attach files on any website. This includes things like adding attachments to Gmail messages, uploading photos to Facebook, or uploading media to my Wordpress site. There is no error message or pop-up box -- when I click "attach" or "upload" absolutely nothing happens.
The same files upload without issue via Safari or by using Firefox on my older Macbook, so it's not a file-specific or website-specific issue.
How can I correct this? I like using Firefox as my default browser, and it's annoying to have to switch over to Safari every time I want to upload a file. I've searched older posts here, but the suggested fixes (restarting your computer, making sure location services are enabled) do not do anything.

Hi Rebecca, If you start Firefox in Troubleshoot Mode, does the problem still occur? To start in Troubleshoot Mode, go to Help > Troubleshoot Mode.
If the problem does not occur in Troubleshoot Mode, then you can disable your extensions one-by-one until you find out which one is causing the problem. For more info, visit Troubleshoot extensions, themes and hardware acceleration issues to solve common Firefox problems.
This worked! I did not have any extensions other than a theme (Graffiti) and in fact, it was the theme that was causing the problem. As soon as I switched to the default Firefox theme I was able to upload files. Thanks so much!
Hi Chris! This solution worked temporarily, but as of this week I am once again unable to add attachments in Firefox. I haven't made any changes to my browser or computer, and I no longer have any extensions as I removed them to correct the issue last time around.
Any other thoughts on what I might try? It's definitely frustrating to have to switch over to Safari any time I want to upload or download a file.
Hi Rebecca, The fact that this appears out of nowhere for you will make it tough to diagnose. What you're experiencing is not normal behaviour. Let's try refreshing Firefox. This will purge a lot of your Firefox files, while retaining most of your personal data. For instructions, check out the following article: Refresh Firefox - reset add-ons and settings
