Pinning a website

more options

Previously i was able to pin a website so t hat when i clicked my blank address bar a short list of websites ive pinned would appear and i wouldnt need to type in the website. I have explored multiple settings and ive discovered the Pin button/icon is completely gone. I cant pin new sites and i cant remove the sites that are already there. Where can i find this button, setting, or option?

The list that appears when you click in the address bar -- before you type any text for Firefox to match off of -- should still match the first 8-10 shortcuts on the new tab page. You should still be able to pin/dismiss sites, but I think in the current design, you need to edit an existing tile to change the URL (there isn't a separate "Add" button). More info: Customize items on your Firefox New Tab page.

Hmm, the connection between the address bar drop-down and the Shortcuts section of the new tab page goes back to around Firefox 75.

How did you initially pin sites to that list?
