before firefox 3.5 i didn't have this problem every since then I've been having this problem.

you can see in the troubleshooting section it list as version 3.6.8 but in the firefox version section it list as 2.0.0.11 i update firefox everytime it upgrades. i've uninstalled it and re-installed it dozens of times done clean install and i can't figure it out...

maybe it's an extension any ideas?

Your UserAgent string in Firefox is probably messed up by an extension or another program that you installed. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/User_Agent

type about:config in the URL bar and hit Enter If you see the warning, you can confirm that you want to access that page. Filter = general.useragent Right-click the preferences that are "bold", one line at a time, and select "Reset", Then restart Firefox

Looks that keyword.URL is affected as well:

general.useragent.extra.firefox Firefox/2.0.0.11;MEGAUPLOAD 1.0
keyword.URL http://search.yahoo.com/search?ei=utf-8&fr=megaup&p=
