Start Firefox in Diagnose Firefox issues using Troubleshoot Mode to check if one of your add-ons is causing your problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Tools > Add-ons > Themes).

  • Don't make any changes on the Safe mode start window.

I too was having this problem. I fixed it by following the troubleshooting advice on extensions. I had ghostery added which was blocking espn's scorecenter from updating. I added espn.go.com to Ghostery's whitelist and everything works now.

Just started getting this problem. After troubleshooting, I find that rather than whitelist all the trackers, you only need to allow "ForeSee" to get the scores working.
