It claims I have no connection or isn't allowed through my firewall. But I have full connection (Explorer works!) and I've changed my control panel settings to allow it... So why won't it really do anything?!

It loads the home google page but it won't load any other page. My laptop is fully connected to the internet and I've changed the settings to allow it through my firewall. Also, I know it has nothing to do with the individual websites or internet connection because internet explorer works fine. So how do I fix this? I've also uninstalled and reinstalled the firefox program with no luck.

I had this problem. It was my anti-virus programs. When I was an iexplorer user the program 'avast!' was stopping me from using the internet. Then when I switched to Firefox 'Norton' blocked that. If this is the problem then you should be able to edit the settings or uninstall them to correct the problem.
