I saved my old bookmarks as part of my regular backup from my old computer. It died this week and I just bought a new computer. The instructions for importing an html file with bookmarks says to open the Organized Bookmarks tab under Bookmarks. My computer does not have this bookmark and I can't find anywhere else how to import the html file with my old bookmarks. The old computer used Windows XP and this one has Windows 7.

"Organize Bookmarks" has been renamed to "Show All Bookmarks" in the bookmarks menu. The rest of the instructions will be the same.

It worked--thanks. I used to use Explorer so I'm new to Firefox. The tutorial needs to be updated.

Mine does NOT have a "Show all bookmarks" or "Organize bookmarks." I have the latest Firefox and I can't find any way to transfer my bookmarks!

What is your Operating System ?

If you have the Firefox menu button visible the use Firefox > Bookmarks

I have windows 7, same as the computer I am switching from.

Sorry, I JUST found it. I have no idea how I missed the "show all" yesterday. Thank you for responding.
