Many sites don't display correctly; e.g. lines of font may be overlaid on upon the other. When I switch back to IE, there's no problem. I'm using XP and cable I'net.

Just today at http://www.crimemapping.com/map.aspx Firefox display has elements partially hidden, but IE works fine. This happens with many sites and I'm about ready to abandon Firefox.

Reset the page zoom on pages that cause problems: View > Zoom > Reset (Ctrl+0 (zero); Cmd+0 on Mac)

If you have increased the minimum font size then try the default setting 'none' as a high value can cause issues like you described.

  • Tools > Options > Content : Fonts & Colors > Advanced > Minimum Font Size (none)
  • Tools > Options > Content : Fonts & Colors > Advanced > [X] "Allow pages to choose their own fonts, instead of my selections above"
