Unable to open pdf files, not even in browse. When I try, it opens loads of new tabs - over 100 a time until I press the exit button on the top corner. The page flashes non-stop when it opens the new tabs. If I didn't stop it, it would open 100's more.

All I want to do is READ a pdf file.

PLEASE HELP.

Did you check the choice for PDF files in Tools > Options > Applications to make sure that you haven't selected Firefox?

Your More system details list doesn't show the Adobe Reader plugin that is normally used to handle PDF files in Firefox, so you will have to install the Adobe Reader if you do not have that application.

Already downloaded the Adobe before this problem arose and downloaded it again since then.

You should see that code. Firefox should send that file to the Adobe Reader plugin or program.
