Almost every time I do a search that provides a link to a website, firefox redirects me to some different website instead of the one I wanted. How do I stop firefox from redirecting anything?
I do a yahoo or google search that results in a display iwth links to various websites I was looking for. When I click on those links Firefox redirects me to some other site and will not let me get to the one I want to go to. I want to disable the ability for firefox to redirect me at all. This does not happen if I do the same thing on other browsers like IE

Thanks but I don't see why one browser would be affected and not the other ones. It seems to me I get redirected to major advertisers on Firefox
I'm not sure what you mean by "major advertisers on Firefox." Normally, there are no advertisers on Firefox.
