I can not open a new tab by clicking on the new tab (+) button in the tab bar. How do I fix this? I'm Using version 3.6

I can open tabs by right clicking on a link it's only when trying to open a new (empty) tab that the problem occurs

This issue can be caused by the Ask.com toolbar (Tools > Add-ons > Extensions)
