On my Firefox start page, a message says, "You're not on the latest version of Firefox." But when I go to Help and About Firefox, that window says I'm running 8.0 and Firefox is up to date. So, why am I getting conflicting messags? Thanks
I downloaded Firefox 8.0.1, rebooted, and ran it. However, I still get a message on my firefox start page saying, "You're not on the latest version of Firefox." But when I go to Help and then About Firefox, it says I'm running 8.0 and I'm up to date. Why am I getting conflicting messages?

The old startpage www.google.com/firefox is outdated and no longer used. You can restore your startpage to the new default so you will get the new startpage.

Click on the "Restore to default" button.
