I have always had issues with my local web pages & Firefox. If I use anything other than my local home page I go back to using Internet Explorer.

WHY?

HTML Pop-Ups are always blocked and local File Names do not work the same as in IE. I don't want to have to rewrite all my HTML just to make Firefox halfway work.

I click ALLOW and nothing happens for local pages & pop-ups.

For normal Internet Firefox is GREAT! For local HTML Firefox SUCKS!

Everything in that document is for ancient versions of Firefox.

Like I said I figure Firefox to be useless for local web pages and I will use Internet Explorer which does work with my local pages.

Try to open the file via localhost: file://localhost/C:/

NOPE!

It is not the file I'm having trouble with but the pop-ups my web-page wants to open up.

The pop-up blocker will NOT let me ALLOW pop-ups for my local web-page on my hard drive. It only allows for HTTP:// addresses not FILE:/// addresses.

From what I can tell it is a security feature built into Firefox that does not allow full HTML rules.

Like I said I use IE for my local page when I need it, NOT Firefox. I do not need extra security for my local pages.
