cannot install new version after downloading - no promp appears

Download of Firefox 9.0.1 seems to be successful but that's all. Your site says to drag icon into applications upon prompt but there is no prompt. I cannot figure out how to install it. Icon for old version is on the dock but not in applications and cannot be dragged there.
