Why does firefox fail to shut down when I quit the app? After exiting either by clicking on the x or by using File> Quit, firefox.exe 32 AND plugin-container.exe 32 are continuing to run when I look at the open processes in Task Manager.

Firefox fails to shut down when I quit the app. After exiting either by clicking on the x or by using File> Exit, firefox.exe *32 AND plugin-container.exe *32 are continuing to run when I look at the open processes in Task Manager. Plus Fire fox looks to consuming a lot of resources.
