wmp plays multiple files automatically

Am using FF 9.0.1 on WinXP SP3. I maintain a website page with 15 MP3 files using windows media player plugin. When accessing the page all 15 files start playing at one time even though the code instructions tell them not to activate automatically. This has been going on ever since I updated from FF 5.0. The files act properly in IE and Opera.
