If I try to log in into Firefox Help page, there is a message "Please enter a correct username and password. Note that both fields are case-sensitive". But if I initially type my user name in wrong case, then I can't correct it on second attempt, because autocorrection miscorrects the case again.

Try to use these steps to remove saved (form) data from a drop down list:

  1. Click the (empty) input field on the web page to open the drop down list
  2. Highlight an entry in the drop down list
  3. Press the Delete key (on Mac: Shift+Delete) to remove it.

Firefox does have auto-correction. You can set it to remember what you've typed in single-line text fields, and it will offer to complete what you're typing with a drop-down menu of words you've previously typed, but not try to correct what you've already typed. See:

Maybe you saved a username that had a typo? You can remove it by selecting it from the drop-down menu and pressing the Delete key.
