In Firefox 17.0.1: How do I change/customize google universal search Keyboard shortcut?

more options

Suddenly with the new Firefox 17.0.1 (On an Intel 3.1Ghz iMac [OS 10.7)] Cmd+Opt+G automatically launches Firefox regardless of where I am in the OS.

How do I either disable that universal keyboard mapping command, or change it to different keyboard command ?

FYI: Though I'm a smart end user, I'm not versed in scripting or terminal usage.

Go to "System Preferences", then "Keyboard", then click the "Keyboard Shortcuts" tab. In the sidebar, click on "Application Shortcuts", and look through the list to find Firefox.

Now, either remove it by selecting it, and clicking the "-" on the toolbar below the list, or change it by double-clicking the shortcut text on the right, and pressing the keys you want to be the new shortcut.
