How can I stop a website from loading up in the new tab page?
An arabian site shows up everytime I open a new tab; I've already tried going to about:config and changing the value for the new tab but didn't work, it was already at default and also setting google as the new tab page didn't work, still keeps loading up the arabian website.

This happened to me once. I believe the website was called "Alnaddy"? Not sure, but I recommend using a New-Tab page add-on. My favorite is New Tab King which can be found here. It is very customizable and allows you to open recently closed tabs, a to-do list, and more! But if your the average user, I recommend New Tab Plus, which can be found here. Though if you want to keep the stock New-Tab page, I'm not sure. If you have a New-Tab replacement already, disable it and re-enable it to use the replacement.
Sorry you're having problems with Firefox!
Hope I helped! :)
The Reset Firefox feature can fix many issues by restoring Firefox to its factory default state while saving your essential information. Note: This will cause you to lose any Extensions, Open websites, and some Preferences.
To Reset Firefox do the following:
- Go to Firefox > Help > Troubleshooting Information.
- Click the "Reset Firefox" button.
- Firefox will close and reset. After Firefox is done, it will show a window with the information that is imported. Click Finish.
- Firefox will open with all factory defaults applied.
Further information can be found in the Refresh Firefox - reset add-ons and settings article.

Start Firefox in Safe Mode to check if one of the extensions (Firefox/Tools > Add-ons > Extensions) or if hardware acceleration is causing the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox/Tools > Add-ons > Appearance).
- Do not click the Reset button on the Safe mode start window or otherwise make changes.

Do a malware check with some malware scanning programs on the Windows computer.
You need to scan with all programs because each program detects different malware.
Make sure that you update each program to get the latest version of their databases before doing a scan.
