Why isn't Bloomberg.com website showing as a normal website. It is on internet explorer. I am using windows 8.1?
Bloomberg.com on firefox appears as a bunch of links to sections of bloomberg new instead of a full featured website like cnbc. none of the links work to open up the page of interest. Compare this tp cnbc or any other website that opens to its full extent. If I switch to internet explorer Bloomberg.com opens in full with all features functioning. This is something that recently began happening with firefox.

Hi schek711, Did you try to re install firefox?
If all other websites work fine then why reinstall Firefox? Also Bloomberg has obviously at least to me redesigned and reopened their website as can be seen on internet explorer. If I reinstall Firefox won't I have to re-enter all my passwords and favorites? I don't feel like doing that unless I absolutely have to.
Thanks for the possible solution. Given that I have no other Firefox issues with any other website do you have any other suggestions?
Hello there, see if you have installed any plugins or add ons in your browser for that website ......Thank you for contacting us
You can try these steps in case of issues with web pages:
Reload web page(s) and bypass the cache to refresh possibly outdated or corrupted files.
- Hold down the Shift key and left-click the Reload button
- Press "Ctrl + F5" or press "Ctrl + Shift + R" (Windows,Linux)
- Press "Command + Shift + R" (Mac)
Clear the cache and cookies only from websites that cause problems.
"Clear the Cache":
- Firefox/Tools > Options > Advanced > Network > Cached Web Content: "Clear Now"
"Remove Cookies" from sites causing problems:
- Firefox/Tools > Options > Privacy > Cookies: "Show Cookies"
Start Firefox in Safe Mode to check if one of the extensions (Firefox/Tools > Add-ons > Extensions) or if hardware acceleration is causing the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox/Tools > Add-ons > Appearance).
- Do NOT click the Reset button on the Safe Mode start window.
None of your suggestions worked sorry to say but let me thank you for taking the time to respond.
It seems there is a conflict between ad blocker ad ons supplied by Firefox. If I disable them Bloomberg's newly revised website opens as intended.
If a Firefox extension is causing this problem the starting Firefox in Safe Mode should have helped.
It is also possible that your security software is causing this problem.
You can try to use Clear Recent History to clear more data
Try to rename or delete the prefs.js file and possible numbered prefs-##.js and user.js files to reset all prefs to the default value.
