I am having the usual problems with Shockwave Flash refusing to work. In attempting to Troubleshoot that issue, I see frequent references to using Firefox>Help>Troubleshooting Information. However, whenever I click on 'Troubleshooting Information' - whether in Safe Mode or not - Firefox crashes immediately.

I created a crash report of the most recent time (after trying a half-dozen times or so).

Firefox 28.0 Crash Report [@ F1398665248_____________________________ ] UUID 3ce83fd3-b8a5-47d7-b3e2-9a1322140417

What I really want is for Flash to work, but since that doesn't seem like it will happen any year soon, if I could at least use the 'Troubleshooting Information', that might be helpful.

Thanks.

Sorry, the Report ID number might be more helpful, apparently:

You can check for problems with current Shockwave Flash plugin versions and try this:

  • disable protected mode in the Flash plugin (Flash 11.3+ on Windows Vista and later)
  • disable hardware acceleration in the Flash plugin
