- Hello! this issue has been a problem for months and its has been bothering me for a very long time and I do not even know what is wrong with my browser or possibly my computer if thats the case. I've tried numerous times in clicking the "Update Plugin" I go to the Shockwave website and it tells me that the installation is completed but the confusing part is that, I was not given the option to download anything. It just said "Installation Complete"

Please help!

And if possible, please tell me how to uninstall the Shockwave Director since I do not think I even need it.

I'll try and provide the pictures of what I see, hopefully it helps.

This is what It tells me. [IMG]http://i1251.photobucket.com/albums/hh553/KervinsPictures/FireFoxProblem.png/IMG

Chosen solution

Hello,

You shouldn't install Shockwave Player unless you know for a fact that you need it.

  1. From the following page, save the uninstaller, the full installer for Netscape, and the full installer for Internet Explorer if you also need it in that browser.
  2. Exit all applications.
  3. Run the uninstaller.
  4. Restart your computer.
  5. Run the installer for Netscape.
  6. Run the installer for Internet Explorer if you downloaded it.

You hardly need the Shockwave for Director plugin as this plugin is usually only used for some online games, so you can consider to uninstall it by using the uninstaller or via the Control Panel > Programs
