How to fix: after upgrade to 31.1, using group list name does not work, gives message that name "is not a valid email address."
Before the upgrade, I would often type in the group's alias in the address box, and the name of the group populates. But now when I try to send the message, I get an error that the name appearing "is not a valid email address" and then details on how to form proper addresses.
I deleted the list from my Personal Address Book, and recreated it from addresses in my PAB, but the error still persists. I have to manually add the individual addresses.
I tried selecting the group from the Contacts Pane list instead of typing in the alias, no change.
Am I doing something wrong?

Chosen solution
I have new information about this.
It looks like it's this bug. If you have an account on Bugzilla, it would help to vote for that issue.
It seems lists with a description that includes several words have this problem. The bug report suggests replacing the blanks " " between the words in such lists' descriptions with an underscore "_".
If you don't want to change your descriptions, the other workaround provided still works.

Hello,
I am sorry to hear about this. Several other people have reported this issue, I replied with a workaround suggested by one of them in this thread.
Please follow up there, it would help if you have any other details (OS version, exact TB version) and if you could confirm the workaround is valid. Thank you for contacting Mozilla Support and again, apologies for this!

Thank you for your assistance, Fabian.
The workaround of removing spaces from the list's description has solved the issue.
I don't have a Bugzilla account, and don't wish to create one. Please add to the bug report as needed.

I understand re: voting, not a problem. Quite a few more people reported this during the last day, the bug report has also been assigned so attention on it is increasing.
Thank you for asking about this in the first place, it is a bit like voting ;)
