remove autocomplete about:home
Until (perhaps) yesterday typing anything in the search box on the about:home page would not produce any suggestions. I liked this and I want to choose whether or not any suggestions appear.
Now (definitely) today Firefox suggests search topics in the Google box. If I wanted this I could choose Google as my home page, but would prefer about:home to remain as home page.
I do not want any autocomplete options in the search box. Can anyone advise? Anyone having the same issues? I loathe autocomplete, it feels so invasive!

Superb. Fantastic quick response.
Works a treat.
Thank you so much. Much appreciated!
Note that you can also toggle "Show Suggestions" via the right-click context menu of the search field of the search bar on the Navigation Toolbar and via Manage Search Engines.
